FYI...Stefanie ------- Forwarded Message Follows ------- This is to announce that the following position has been authorized: Environmental History/American West: Tenure-track appointment, starting 1 September 1997; Assistant Professor (ph.D) or Instructor (ABD). The successful candidate will be based in the History Department, and would offer some courses in the interdisciplinary Environmental Studies Program as well, teaching a total of five to six courses spread over two semesters and a one-month winter term. The candidate should be able to offer an introduction to environmental history, a course on the environmental history of the American West, and to teach or assist in the US history survey. Additional courses that would directly serve the Environmental Studies Program could include an introduction to humanities and environmental studies and a junior or senior-level seminar for environmental studies majors.
