I made an argument in class one afternoon about how golf courses and
make-up are directly related to patriarchal domination. In the same way
that the cosmetic industry helps to define the female standard of beauty,
terraforming for golf courses does the same thing to the earth. The
argument illustrated for the class an understandable connection between
the domination of women and the domination of the earth. Possibly
something an group of high school students can understand.
