Chris,
It would have been so much more productive had you responded to my posts
with counter-arguements as opposed to insults, which I do believe your
posts contain. As Arlene noted earlier, it is important that we learn how
to disagree in productive ways, not to mention that we learn to share
differing ideas and perspectives in constructive ways. It's too bad that
you seem unwilling to engage in that kind of dialogue.
RE: "To give you your complete freedom is no insult to you but a profound
courtesy"
Who are you to suggest that you have the knowledge or ability to give me
"complete freedom"? Again, you see fit to negate my agency, and
unfortunately you seem to see yourself as the "savior" of women, which of
course, you are not. Nor do you speak for all women, nor are you aware of
all thier diverse interests, experiences and lived realities. Your claims
are essentializing ones which serve to belittle women, thier agency,
struggles and their diverse perspectives.
RE: "sorry you are still fudging and it is taking a mere man to bring you
to water. irony of ironies, Chris"
Do you hear yourself? Again with the negation of agency and the audacity
to fancy yourself a savior. Your agenda is not the agenda of all women,
nor are you the savior of woman-kind. Moreover, had you read my post in
response to Arlene's question, you would have noticed that this little
assertion of yours (above) proves nearly all of the points I was attempting
to make within my post.
Get over your savior-complex, perhaps then you will have the ability to
engage in truely productive dialogue.
