The following fellowship opportunity arrived at the CHR this week.

The Institute for Research on Women at Rutgers announces a
competition for at least two fellowships for the 2000-2001 academic
year.  The theme for this competition is "Gender-Race-Ethnicity:
Rearticulating the Local  and the Global."  The award includes a
stipend [the flyer does not offer an amount], health insurance, office
space with computer, and library priviledges. Fellows will be expected
to take part in the intellectual life of the Institute, including
attendance at weekly seminars and a presentation of one's work in
progress.  The deadline for application is January 10, 2000. For more
