Technology and the Environment - 27th Symposium of ICOHTEC
Location: Czech Republic
Call for Papers Deadline: 2000-02-01

Call for contributions for a major theme session of the 27th Symposium of
the International Committee for the History of Technology (ICOHTEC) to be
held in Prague, The Czech Republic, August 22-26, 2000.  The conference
theme is "Technological Landscapes: Energy, Transport, and Environment."
The session for which contributions are sought here will explore the
interplay of technology and the environment in terms of "Energy, Transport,
and Environment."  Contributors will have 20 minutes to present papers,
followed by discussion.  Contributions in English are preferred, although
German, French, and Russian are also possible.  The session may extend over
two days, depending on how many contributions are accepted.  Please submit
proposals with a one page abstract to the organizer, James Williams, by
February 1, 2000.

The 27th Symposium of ICOHTEC is being co-hosted by the Czech Technical
University and the National Technical Museum of Prague.  For more
