JOB ANNOUNCEMENT

The Humanities and Arts Department at Worcester Polytechnic Institute
(WPI) invites applications for one or two adjunct position(s) within the
Philosophy and religion group.  WPI is an innovative technological
university of engineering, science, management, the humanities and arts,
and the social sciences with an enrollment of 2,700 undergraduate and
about 1,100 full- and part-time graduate students, situated in Worcester
MA.

The successful candidates(s) will teach eight courses during our four
seven-week terms including five preparations: Introduction to Philosophy
and religion, Introductory Ethics, Philosophy of Difference, Philosophical
Theories of Knowledge and Reality, Religions of the West.  Ph.D. or ABD.

Applicants should submit a CV, sample course syllabi, one writing sample,
and 2-3 recommendations (teaching recommendations preferred), to Lee
Fontanella, Dept. Head and Marianne Janack, Assistant Professor,
Humanities and arts Department, WPI, 100 Institute Rd., Worcester, MA
01609.  For full consideration, applications should be received by 14
April, 2000.
