Papers should incorporate some element of the future path of technology in either the information or biological areas. Sponsored by the Markkula Center for Applied Ethics; the Center for Science, Technology and Society; Boston College; and Loyola University, Chicago, the conference features papers, keynote speakers, panel presentations, and other demonstrations. "Ethics and Technology" builds on the previous day's "Technology and Us: A Vision of the Future," a series of dialogues that will probe what we know about the Web's influence, as well as its promise and social challenges. The combined events celebrate Santa Clara University's 150th anniversary.
