April 27-28 - 6th Annual Ethics and Technology Conference

This two-day conference focuses on the theme, "The technology of the future
and how we will deal with it ethically." Papers should incorporate some
element of the future path of technology in either the information or
biological areas. Sponsored by the Markkula Center for Applied Ethics; the
Center for Science, Technology and Society; Boston College; and Loyola
University, Chicago, the conference features papers, keynote speakers, panel
presentations, and other demonstrations.
"Ethics and Technology" builds on the previous day's "Technology and Us: A
Vision of the Future," a series of dialogues that will probe what we know
about the Web's influence, as well as its promise and social challenges. The
combined events celebrate Santa Clara University's 150th anniversary.
