HI :) I have been a suscriber to this list for about 6 months now and I wanted to express to you how interested I am in the topics that are discussed here. I have just completed my sopohmore year of studying for my undergraduate degree of Natural Resources (Resource Ecology) at the University of Vermont, also minoring in Geology. I am wondering what types of jobs are out there for me when I graduate in two years with a Natl. Resources and Geology background. I am very curious to find out what I may be doing in 10 years down the road. As long as it has to do with the things that I am currently learning, I am all set because I love most of what I learn in classes and what I experience by participating in field studies. My dream has been for 2 years now to participate in a student exchange study abroad program with a university in New Zealand. My dream is close to coming true, I am currently working on the application process. I hope to study the ecology and geology of New Zealand. I would love to hear what you all do for a living and how you started to do it and what led up to you working where you do today. What did you study for your undergrad, did it make a big difference in the job that you have today? I am very interested in what you do and if you are happy. I hope that my decisions to study what I love to learn about affect me in a positive manner when I am not a student and enter the working world. I would love to wake up and realize when I am 30 years old (I am now 20) that I love life and one of the reasons is that I chose to do something with my life that I am passionate about...NATURE and living systems.......EVERYTHING IS CONNECTED>....everything happens for a reason.... Thank You!! Hope to be hearing about your lives and how happy you are (I hope!!)!!! Take Care, -Jennifer Bridgewater
