I am co-teaching a course with Prof. Adrienne Rivers on Enviro & Media
which will be a one month Study Abroad Course In West Africa. This is a
great opportunity for anyone who would like to go to Africa during the
summer and also have the opportunity to undertake field work and gain
experience. Please forward to other students and listservers.There are
some financial aid monies available for KU students. Non-KU students may
apply for scholarship and financial aid through their respective
universities and colleges or may conatct KU Study Abroad program office
for other financial aid information. This course will have 4 credit
hours and is transferable to major Universities and colleges nationwide.

The University of Kansas Study Abroad Program would like to remind you
of
the Environmental Management and the Media Course/Program that will take
place June 29-Aug. 2002 in Ghana, West Africa.

The study abroad program is open to ALL university students and features
internships at either an environmental agency or a media outlet in
Ghana.
Students interested in issues pertaining to sustainable development,
biodiversity or coastal and surface water management, or in working at a
radio station, television station, newspaper or public relations agency
should strongly consider participating in this unique program.

The attached brochures provide more details about the program.  The
application deadline is March 1, 2002.  For more information contact
