Southwestern University invites applications for a full-time,
tenure-track  Assistant Professorship in its Feminist Studies Program.
A Ph.D. in  Women's Studies, Feminist Studies, Gender Studies or related
discipline  with a minor, certificate, or strong concentration in
Women's/Feminist/Gender studies is required.  The Feminist Studies
Program  at Southwestern University is an extremely well developed
interdisciplinary  program.  Established in 1989, the program is
administered by the Feminist  Studies Committee and offers a major and a
minor.  The successful candidate  will have a 3/3 teaching load that
will include an introductory course, a  senior seminar, and a course in
transnational feminisms (history and/or  theory).  Opportunities exist
for cross-listing courses with relevant  departments.  Fluency in a
variety of feminist methodologies, commitment to  diverse approaches to
activism, and experience teaching interdisciplinary  courses is
required.  Specialization open; candidates with interests in  diaspora
studies, science studies, and/or queer studies are encouraged to  apply.
 Research program commensurate with a liberal arts college setting  is
expected.
