I just want to say that I have been participating in this program for the past five years for my smaller, upper-level courses. Students generate a new Wikipedia page or make major improvements to an existing one instead of writing a term paper. The training modules and support offered by the Wikiedu people are excellent. Students become qualified Wikipedia editors and also have something they can add to their CVs. Most all of them actually enjoy the assignment even though it is generally more work than a term paper.

This spring, boost student learning outcomes, enhance knowledge equity, and make a real-world impact with your coursework – incorporate the Wikipedia assignment <http://wikiedu.org/teach-with-wikipedia/>into your courses!

Wiki Education provides faculty participants and students with free, wraparound support for the assignment, including comprehensive training, curricular resources, digital tools, and guidance from our staff. You’ll bring your subject area expertise and we’ll bring our expertise in Wikipedia!

Apply by December 1 for priority consideration. To apply, visit the dashboard <http://dashboard.wikiedu.org/>to create your Wikipedia account, take the self-paced orientation and create your course page (you can always make changes later).

What’s it really like? From uncertainty to advocacy – read an Arizona State University professor’s reflection <https://wikiedu.org/blog/2024/09/19/from-uncertainty-to-advocacy-professor-reflects-on-journey-with-wikipedia-assignment/>on teaching with the Wikipedia assignment.
