We are excited to announce a fully funded four-year PhD position on "Movement Ecology of European Ungulates" at the Research Institute of Wildlife Ecology, University of Veterinary Medicine Vienna, Austria (https://www.vetmeduni.ac.at/en/research-institute-of-wildlife-ecology).

The primary goal of this PhD project is to quantify individual behavioral variation across different populations and to explore how this variation correlates with resource dynamics and anthropogenic landscape changes. The successful candidate will utilize extensive datasets from bio-logging devices (e.g., GPS tracking, acceleration data) and analyze them in relation to environmental variables and human activity indices. The PhD student will join a dynamic, interdisciplinary environment, enriched by close interactions with fellow postgraduates, postdocs, and principal investigators, and will benefit from participating in journal clubs, seminars, and discussion groups.
