Dear colleagues, Oceans Initiative (a Seattle-based research nonprofit) has a 3-year grant to hire a post doc-level biologist or ecologist with strong quantitative skills. Details about the position can be found on Oceans Initiative’s Careers page <https://oceansinitiative.org/careers/>. The position is suited for someone with a background in statistical ecology who is enthusiastic to apply those skills to solve real-world conservation and resource management problems. The hybrid position offers many opportunities to join ongoing field projects. As outlined in the job description, this position will strengthen our work on conservation of endangered southern resident killer whales, but the ideal candidate will be keen to join our other conservation program areas and work with the co-founders to develop new program areas. Fieldwork experience and strong quantitative skills are a must; experience working with marine top predators is beneficial. The salary range is $90-95K.
