Dear Ecolog Community - I am trying to find if there are any ecologically oriented biomechanics labs available for a senior/grad level course I'm teaching this coming spring on comparative ecophysiology. I've searched the web, but find mostly exercise science labs. This course compares and contrasts ecophysiological processes in both animals and plants and we start with biomechanics and scaling, then work our way through energy budgets, gas exchange, and the use of stable isotopes.

If anybody has developed some "simple" labs in this field (for either plants or animals), and is willing to share them, I would be most appreciative. If used, I would, of course, credit you with developing the lab and allowing us here at Appstate to use it.

Thanks in advance!
Howie Neufeld
