Environmental History Meeting

March 2007

The American Society for Environmental History is planning its 2007
meeting with a theme: =1CLiving on the Edge: Human Desires and
Environmental Realities. The organizers would like to invite
organizations with overlapping interests to organize special panels that
relate to the conference theme, particularly with a focus on the Gulf
Coast.

We are particularly interested in sessions that deal with human impacts
on the coastal environment, environmental management in the coastal
zone, environmental equity issues, planning for and responding to
hazards, and historical dimensions of rebuilding the gulf coast.

The conference will take place in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, March 1-4,
2007.

Please contact the local arrangements committee if you would like to
participate.
