Graduate Student Fellowships

The Environmental Sciences Research Centre at St. Francis Xavier 
University in Antigonish, Nova Scotia has support available for 
student fellowships (PhD and MSc). PhD studies are conducted through 
Dalhousie University in Halifax Nova Scotia. The support is in the 
form of research assistantships.
Topics include: modeling aspects of energy partitioning processes at 
the Earth's surface, land-surface models, nitrogen and carbon 
biogeochemistry.
Candidates should have a background in any of the following 
disciplines: Physical Geography, Environmental Earth Sciences, 
Physics, Geophysics, Meteorology, or similar science degree.
Applicants are requested to submit a letter outlining their interests 
and the names and e-mail of three references familiar with the

Post Doctoral Fellowships

The Environmental Earth Sciences Laboratory at St. Francis Xavier University
in Nova Scotia has support available for a Post Doctoral Fellow in 
the area of land surface modeling and soil carbon dynamics. The 
position is in principle
for one year, subjected to renewal for a second year. Candidates 
should have a Ph.D. (or ABD) in any of the following disciplines: 
Physical Geography, Environmental Earth Sciences, Physics, 
Geophysics, Meteorology, or related sciences. Familiarity with 
numerical methods would be an asset. Please send resume, a statement
