Fellow Ecologgers: A colleague of mine working in brazil is investigating ways to uniquely identify mist-net captured bats by means of microchip technology (some of you with pets may already be familar with this means of identification). Does anyone here know about companies which produce microships which could be used for this purpose, including information about how they would be implanted and equipment/software necessary for scanning the chips?
