Chicago Botanic Garden in partnership with the Bureau of Land Management is 
looking for a wetland ecologist to intern at the BLM Redding Field Office, in 
Redding, California.  Redding is located in interior northern California.
   
  Internship begins mid to late June and lasts for 5 months.
   
  Compensation is $750 each two weeks.
   
  We are looking for a recent graduate with a background in riparian, wetland 
and/or fisheries.  Candidates should have experience identifying fish, herps 
and wetland flora.  Duties include inventory and monitoring of multiple special 
status wildlife and fishery species, establishing photo monitoring points, 
conducting a habitat characterization, documenting habitat conditions and data 
collection on various water quality measures.
   
  Requirements:
   
  ·       Recent graduate with a BS or BA in Biology or Ecology with a 
wetlands, riparian or ichthyology focus
  ·       US citizen or current visa to work in US
  ·       Valid driver’s license
  ·       Vehicle needed for personal use, work vehicle is provided
