To whom might read it;
My name is Lengxob "Lenny" Yong, and I am presently working on my Master's
thesis at Georgia State University. I am in the process of studying fish
energetics by testing the fundamental assumption that "females invest more
energy in reproductive tissue than males". Specifically, I am looking at
whether or not there are any differences in energy content in reproductive
tissues (via combustion) of the male and female bluebanded goby, Lythrypnus
dalli.
I am now trying to locate a laboratory with the facilities and expertise to
measure energetic content in SMALL (<1mg) tissue samples using bomb
calorimetry, micro preferrably. Moreover, I was wondering whether or not
there was a lab, preferrably in the United States, that possess some of the
necessary technology to assist me with this project. A collaboration with
my lab to assist with the measurement of combustible energy from the
tissues of our fishes would be the ideal. If not, I was wondering if
anybody could direct me to a lab where this same type of work is done,
again on small samples. I would greatly appreciate any referrals anyone
could provide. Thank you for your time and consideration.

Sincerely,

Lenny Yong
