Dear ECOLOG-L subscribers: The Microbial Ecology Section of the ESA will award prizes for the best talk and poster during this year's annual meeting. The award is open to undergraduate students, graduate students and post-doctoral scholars who, as sole or first author, present a talk or poster concerning original research in microbial ecology. We are especially interested in topics that promote the integration of microbial ecology into the general science of ecology. Prizes will be awarded on the basis of merit, originality, and quality of presentation.
Princeton University Press and Blackwell Publishing have generously provided the awards for the best poster and best talk.
