Did anyone else notice now many of these cartoons are anti-government and anti-government employee? Isn't the real problem our anti-science administration (just one part of government) and not the agencies and employees who are trying to get it right?

See the finalists and choose your favorite by July 23, 2007 at http://ucsaction.org/campaign/science_idol_2007_vote. On issues from drug safety to global warming, federal political appointees have censored, manipulated, and distorted science on issues from global warming to endangered species to air pollution. Earlier this year, four "celebrity" cartoonist judges--Garry Trudeau, Tom Toles, Dave Coverly, and James McLeod--helped UCS narrow hundreds of entries down to the 12 finalists that will be published in the 2008 UCS scientific integrity calendar. Now, the American people get to choose the grand prize winner. Visit http://ucsaction.org/campaign/science_idol_2007_vote to see these 12 great cartoons and cast your vote today! Everyone who votes will automatically be entered to win one of fifty 2008 calendars. And anyone who gets five other people to vote using the tell-a-friend feature on the UCS website will be entered to win one of ten t-shirts featuring the grand prize winner. Tell your friends and colleagues about this opportunity by visiting http://ucsaction.org/campaign/science_idol_2007_vote/forward Last year's cartoons are hanging on walls in universities, government labs, and the halls of Congress as a constant reminder of the importance of independent science to federal policymaking. Help us make this year's contest have even more of an impact--vote today at http://ucsaction.org/campaign/science_idol_2007_vote.
