Colleagues - This is to announce the publication of the next volume of TIEE (Teaching Issues and Experiments in Ecology; tiee.ecoed.net). Volume 5 is in the format of a traditional journal and includes: Editorial, Research, Practice, and Reviews. Much of Vol. 5 is devoted to publication of 7 articles by Practitioner Researchers - faculty who are doing research on their teaching.
I invite you to look at this volume to see studies, for example, on changes in students' understanding of ecological figures and attitudes about environmental issues. There is also a new Data Set from the Konza LTER - the 7th from an LTER site. TIEE is a peer reviewed publication of the ESA and is supported by NSF. Charlene D'Avanzo
