*grin* But, Bill...by removing some of the canopy, it creates dead-fall on the forest floor, which not only provides habitat for smaller creatures, it opens the canopy and allows sunlight to reach the forest floor, thereby encouraging new seedlings to thrive....so swing on a birch tree.
