RFP SUMMARY ASSESSMENT OF EXISTING INFORMATION ON ATLANTIC COASTAL FISH HABITATS
The Atlantic Coastal Fish Habitat Partnership (ACFHP) is a partnership working in support of the National Fish Habitat Action Plan. The contractor will assist ACFHP in the completion of an assessment of existing information on Atlantic coastal fish habitat. Scientific information will be integrated into a database, analyzed, and utilized as a tool to determine habitat priorities, status, and severity of threats, and scrutinized to identify information gaps. Products from this work will include information on fish populations and habitat to support a coast-wide conservation plan that sets priorities for management, conservation, and outreach. The overall project goals include creating a database of existing information, assessing commonalities with existing priority habitat areas, and mapping priority habitat areas.
