The Amazon Scholarship Programme (ASP) is a new intiative for the CREES
Foundation aimed at young researchers, university/post graduate students,
researchers and experts within their fields that can contribute to the CREES
vision.

Open to all, CREES believes this type of scholarship intitiative will
faciliatate opportunities in the Amazon to people who have a passion and
commitment for conservation, sustainability and education yet lack the
financial or logistical support to make their projects / ideas a reality.

In its first year, CREES will be providing more that $135,000 towards the
cost of research for all work undertaken at the Manu Learning Centre. These
funds will help cover food and accommodation, transportation as well as a
contribution to equipment under some circumstances.

There is no specific scientific or academic requirement for the scholarship
and CREES welcomes engineers, economists, athropologists as well as natural
scientists to use the scholarship programme to explore how their fields and
skills can make a difference in the long term future of the Amazon.
