The main objectives are to: (1) conduct a reconstruction of an elk population that primarily resides within Riding Mountain National Park, Canada and that is subjected to hunting outside the park boundaries; and (2) model the relationships among group size, population size, and other factors. In the past decade the population has been infected with bovine tuberculosis and there may be an opportunity to extend the work to examine the relationship between population parameters and TB.
