Position: Instructor/Assistant Professor, Biological Sciences, full-time 
temporary 

Department: Biological Sciences 

Description: 
The Department of Biological Sciences at Rowan University is searching for 
full-time temporary faculty for academic year 2010-11. The successful 
candidates will teach a combination of introductory and upper-level courses 
in Biology. We are particularly interested in applicants with expertise in 
evolution, ecology, genetics, physiology, or anatomy. 

Qualifications: 
Applicants must have a Ph.D. or equivalent degree in some field of biology. 
A strong interest in, and commitment to, excellence in undergraduate 
education is expected. Previous college teaching experience is desirable.

Starting Date: September 1, 2010 

Salary: Competitive 

General Info: 
The Department of Biological Sciences serves over 400 Biology majors and 
offers a B.S. degree in Biology, a minor in Biology, and Environmental 
Studies and Pre-Medical concentrations. The department currently consists 
of thirteen full-time faculty members. The science building, opened in 
2003, includes ample state of the art multimedia teaching facilities, as 
well as specialized research facilities. For more information on the
