The Springer Lab at Saint Joseph's University in Philadelphia, PA seeks a motivated graduate student (M.S.) to examine the growth, morphological, physiological, and reproductive responses of the important biofuel species Panicum virgatum to simulated climate change beginning the fall semester 2010. The graduate student will be expected to spend time in the field and in the laboratory to complete the assigned project. The assistantship includes a competitive stipend with two years of funding as well as a full tuition waiver. The position also includes the opportunity to gain valuable experience in science education outreach by working with urban school aged children in the Philadelphia school system.
