Ph.D. Research Assistantship in avian and aquatic ecology. Project involves both experimental and sampling approaches to address questions about controls on wading bird aquatic prey animals and their habitat in the Everglades. Candidate will be exposed to multidisciplinary research program as well as the application of science into one of the nations most comprehensive ecosystem restoration projects. MS degree and experience in avian ecology, wetland ecology, aquatic ecology, or wildlife science is required. The ability to work effectively at remote wetland field sites is essential, as is the ability to work well in teams. Candidate must have evidence of the ability to publish the results of scientific studies. Strong statistical analytical skills are also favorable. Expected start date is January 2011.
