TENURE-TRACK ASSISTANT OR ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR:
QUANTITATIVE ECOLOGY

The Department of Biology at the University of Maryland, College Park invites applications for an Assistant or Associate Professor in quantitative ecology. We seek an outstanding candidate taking informatic, experimental, statistical, and/or theoretical approaches to major questions in ecology at the population, community, and/or ecosystem levels. Applicants must have a doctorate degree and should have developed, or demonstrate the potential to develop, an outstanding research program and a record of extramural funding. Applicants must also exhibit a commitment to excellence in teaching. Postdoctoral experience is preferred.

The Department of Biology is in the College of Computer, Mathematics, and Natural Sciences. Candidates whose research activities will strengthen interactions within the College are of particular interest. The Department of Biology itself is home to a vibrant group of researchers in the areas of ecology, evolution, behavior, conservation biology, neuroscience, and development (<http://biology.umd.edu/>http://biology.umd.edu/).
