The Open Science Network (OSN) in Ethnobiology is proud to announce that we
will be hosting a competition among students, ethno-educators, and
ethnoscientists to obtain TRAVEL AWARDS to attend the 3rd Annual meeting for
the OSN this summer.

The OSN is a collaborative network open to educators and students interested
in the exchange of innovative curricula and educational resources that
advance the field of ethnobiology. Funded by the National Science
Foundation (NSF), the OSN uses open technology to facilitate the exchange of
educational techniques, materials, and experiences across institutional and
international borders. OSN encourages students, faculty and practicing
ethnobiologists to participate in its annual meeting in conjunction with the
Society for Economic Botany and Botanical Society of America meetings,
scheduled for July 9-13 in St. Louis, Missouri.

There are several ways to get involved in the project and become eligible
for travel funds to attend the meeting. The deadline for applying for
funding has been extended to March 22, 2011.
