OPPORTUNITY TO WORK AS FIELD ASSISTANT IN PANAMA WITH THE POISON FROG Dendrobates auratus.

Place: Santa Fe, Veraguas, Republic of Panama, 8°31’ N 81°03’W

Duties:

- Measuring frogs in the field and monitoring of frog´s behavior.
- Feeding and looking after tadpoles until completing metamorphosis.
- Daily observation of tadpoles and frogs in the field for several weeks.

Work load may include weekends, with a normal timeframe from 7:00am-11:00am, and from 2:00pm until 5:00-6:00pm (changes can take place depending on needs).

Dates: April 2011 until August 2011.

Stipend: 12-15 USD$ per day, depending on duties and responsibilities. Other costs like: food, accommodation and local transportation will be covered by the project. The applicant must cover his/her international travel costs to and from Panama.

It is expected that the applicant has had previous research experience or had collaborated with research projects.
