Tenure-Track Faculty Position - Biogeochemistry

Kent State University’s Department of Biological Sciences is seeking
applicants to fill a tenure-track position in the field of
Biogeochemistry. This position is part of an ongoing expansion of the
faculty in biological sciences. Researchers in all areas of
biogeochemistry will be considered. We are particularly interested in
applicants who complement the strengths of our ecology program, including
candidates whose research focuses on nutrient or trace element cycling,
climate change, acidification, and eutrophication or carbon sequestration,
in terrestrial and/or aquatic systems.

The successful candidate will join a growing and thriving department with
excellent research and educational programs. Our ecology program is
highlighted by a vibrant doctoral program, access to a wide variety of
field sites and excellent core research facilities, a newly established
interdisciplinary Center for Ecology and Natural Resource Sustainability,
and concurrent faculty searches for an Ecosystem Ecologist and an endowed
chair in Plant Conservation Biology.

The successful applicant will be expected to establish a highly productive
extramurally funded research program, engage in collaborative research,
