Keep America Beautiful, a national community improvement non-profit, is seeking a college/university professor to serve as a consultant and coordinate the update of middle and high school resources. The resources will build on Pre-K-6 activities that were updated through a similar process over the past two years. The resources will use existing KAB materials and encourage service-learning and community engagement.

Process will include KAB staff and a group of education experts that has been assembled to review and modify existing materials, including Waste a Hidden Resource (supplemental educational activities for grades 7-12), Get a Grip (activities on product design and stewardship for grades 7-9), and Take Action (website containing youth-oriented project ideas).

The new product(s) will be designed following the KAB behavior change process and pressure points for change and will promote students’ environmental literacy. The content of the materials will support KAB’s focus areas – litter prevention, beautification and community greening, and waste reduction and recycling.

Preference individual with PhD or EdD in secondary education or education and environmental studies. Please send vitae/bio and brief statement describing why you are interested in the project to Cecile Carson at ccar...@kab.org.
