The Odum School of Ecology at the University of Georgia is looking for an outstanding ecologist.
The Odum School of Ecology is a unique stand-alone college dedicated to a broad and integrative view of ecology (see http://www.ecology.uga.edu/). We seek a tenured Full or Associate Professor with a distinguished record of scholarship, an exceptional research and publication record, and continued prominence in their field, evidenced by a substantive and sustained track record of extramural funding and international recognition for contributions in their field of expertise. The individual will foster synthesis in ecology, with a combined application of empirical and theoretical approaches, and focus on ecological patterns and process with a purpose to understand how these patterns are created, how they vary in space and time, and how they are changing in the context of human activity. The successful candidate will provide intellectual leadership on a campus that is significantly expanding programs across academic disciplines and increasing sustainability initiatives.
