Hello Everyone!

A quick update from La MICA Biological Station....as always we are busy!

full-length publications in press, ready to come out any day now. We'll keep
you updated on http://www.lamica.org/publications.html.

Donor Match in Progress!
We have been offered a $200 match of donations. We have raised $50 but need to
wrap up our efforts by the end of this week! The next $150 donated will be
MATCHED! Please chip in any amount today or tomorrow to help us make our goal!
Now is definitely a time when no donation is too small!

Upcoming Group Visit from UW-Eau Claire
After Julie gave a departmental seminar at University of Wisconsin - Eau Claire
last week a group has organized themselves to visit us this Spring Break! They
will explore the National Park, help around La MICA, give a talk to the local
grade-schoolers, and have some cultural and language immersion. We are all very
excited for their visit as this will be yet another opportunity for employment
for our local people.

Venomous Snakes Book
Team Snake Panama's book The Venomous Snakes (and Their Mimics) of Panama and
Costa Rica will be available on Amazon.com soon! The bilingual field guide
includes over 50 species, lots of colored photos, range maps, and a list of
hospitals. Perfect for tourists, students, researchers, and even kids just
getting into herpetology. Stay tuned....
