EPA’s Office of Research and Development’s (ORD) National Health and 
Environmental Effects Research Laboratory (NHEERL) is seeking two Division 
Directors, one to lead the Atlantic Ecology Division located in 
Narragansett, Rhode Island and the other to lead the Gulf Ecology Division 
located in Gulf Breeze Florida.  Each candidate should be a scientific 
thought leader with extensive senior executive experience.  The National 
Health and Environmental Effects Research Laboratory (NHEERL) 
headquartered in Research Triangle Park, NC, (http://www.epa.gov/nheerl) 
is the Agency’s focal point for scientific research on the effects of 
contaminants and environmental stressors on human health and ecosystems 
integrity.  Each position will provide strategic vision and leadership for 
a research program that informs Agency decisions and drives the 
development of sustainable solutions to the nation's top environmental 
challenges.

Both positions are Title 42 posts for which the present rate of basic pay 
is up to $200,000.  These positions will be eligible for full benefits, 
including relocation, health and life insurance, retirement, and vacation 
and sick leave.
