The Department of Environmental Studies at Antioch University New England
invites applications for a full-time, core faculty appointment in its
innovative, interdisciplinary graduate department with programs leading to
Master’s and Doctoral degrees in Environmental Studies. The selected
candidate will teach graduate courses, direct thesis and dissertation

We seek a collaborative, highly motivated, and hands-on faculty member who
is enthusiastic about innovative and interdisciplinary teaching and
learning. The successful candidate will have a PhD in conservation biology,

Specifically, a PhD in the relevant course of study is required and must be

funding will be considered a plus.

This is a fulltime, 9-month faculty appointment in the Department of
Environmental Studies. Core faculty members devote 60-80% of their time to
engagement with student learning, and on a semester basis teaching
face-to-face or low-residency hybrid courses (weekday and weekend delivery
models with a combination of classroom and online learning). The teaching
load is 18 credits per academic year.

The selected candidate will be able to teach graduate courses in
conservation biology, ecology, mammology, wildlife management,
biostatistics, GIS, and/or landscape-scale complexity, adaptation, and
resilience, with the possibility of running extended fieldbased courses.
Capacity to actively engage students and facilitate their effective use of
