Hello Ecolog-Listers: Has anyone *successfully* done an ecology exercise supposed to mimic island biogeography dispersal and extinction patterns using of ping-pong balls, egg cartons, and dice? If you have done it and consider that the results echoed MacArthur and Wilson's expectations, could you send me an email? We just did it and I am beginning to wonder if I explained something incorrectly because, as far as I can tell, it did not "work". Gracias.
