We would like to draw your attention to an AGU 2014 special session focused
on research linking watershed-scale hydrological and biogeochemical
processes to aquatic ecosystem responses.

Please consider submitting your work to this session. The abstract
submission deadline is August 6th 2014.

Thank you,

Session Name:
Linking Watershed Processes with Aquatic Ecosystem Functions and Services

Session ID#: 1890
Session Description:

Understanding the link between watershed-scale processes and their
associated aquatic ecological responses requires an approach that
incorporates multiple terrestrial and aquatic system variables across space
(multi-scale watersheds and component surface water systems, e.g., rivers,
streams, wetlands, lakes) and time (diurnal, seasonal, annual). This
session provides a forum to present advances in research that couples
anthropogenic drivers of physical (e.g., climate change, land use change)
and/or biogeochemical (e.g., atmospheric deposition of N, S, or Hg,
nutrient transformations) watershed processes with related effects on the
aquatic ecosystem. We particularly encourage studies that use novel
modeling and/or monitoring approaches to explore connections between these
chemical or physical landscape stressors and aquatic ecosystem functions,
including water quality and ecosystem services, at diverse spatial and
temporal scales.
