Tenure-Track Faculty Position in Population Biology at Iowa State University, Department of Ecology, Evolution, and Organismal Biology
The Ecology, Evolution & Organismal Biology (EEOB) Department at Iowa State University seeks a scholar employing theoretical or empirical approaches to understand the ecological or evolutionary dynamics of populations in response to abiotic or biotic stressors. Research may investigate the characteristics of individual or interacting species of any taxon in the context of population responses to environmental stress, broadly defined to include, for example, global climate change, habitat disturbance, or altered species interactions (invasive species, disease agents, predators, competitors, mutualists), among others. Successful candidates are expected to establish a vibrant, externally funded research program, demonstrate an ability to work collaboratively within existing research strengths at ISU (including a Presidential Translational Health Initiative), and teach undergraduate and graduate education courses, including courses in their area(s) of expertise.
