We are looking for an mid-level energetic, career-minded plant ecologist, wetland ecologist or related biologist to join us on a full- time basis in our San Rafael office. We currently have one opening in our Environmental Services Department and are looking for someone with experience in regulatory permitting and in California plant, vegetation, and wetland identification. The work that this position entails is varied and may include environmental compliance (CEQA, wetland delineation and permitting), mitigation and conservation banking/planning, rare plant surveys, and restoration planning. Experience with staff and project management is desired. Experience in one or more of these areas is required; preference will be given to candidates with previous consulting or management experience. This position requires a Bachelor’s degree or higher in biology and may require some travel to other areas of the State. Desired qualifications include: education and experience in California plant taxonomy and surveys, habitat/association mapping, environmental impact analysis, permit preparation, and mitigation analysis. Demonstrable technical writing ability and excellent communication skills are essential. Previous experience is preferred.
