Workshop Announcement: Tips and Tools for Entrepreneurial Ecologists Sunday, August 9, 2015: 12:00 PM-5:00 PM
Hilton Baltimore Hotel: 401 W Pratt St, Baltimore, MD 21201 (Room Peale B) This workshop (WK 24) is designed to meet the needs of ecologists who have an idea that they would like to develop and turn into a business prospectus, a research proposal, or an organization that could be supported by agencies, private foundations, and other sources. The workshop is organized by team members of ESA’s Sustaining Biological Infrastructure (SBI) Training Initiative (www.esa.org/sbi) and will help entrepreneurial scientists accomplish the following: Refine your research project/program/organization ideas using the Kellogg Logic Model, Assess the viability of your ideas for obtaining financial support from different sources using the business model canvas, and Turn your ideas into grant proposals using requirement matrices and other proven approaches.
