The biology department at Goucher College is currently accepting applications for a tenure-track position as an assistant professor of biology, starting in August, 2016. We are looking for a broadly- trained microbiologist, with expertise in environmental microbiology. This hire will teach intermediate or advanced courses in microbiology, participate in introductory courses for majors and/or non-majors, develop a research program that includes undergraduates, and contribute to the environmental studies major
Candidates must possess a Ph.D. at the time of appointment. Postdoctoral work and teaching experience are preferred. Goucher College supports faculty development through pre-tenure leaves, start-up research funds, and support for summer research with students.
