*The Department of Forest Ecosystems and Society at Oregon State
University invites applications for a tenure track Assistant Professor
position in Integrated Human and Ecological Systems.*
We seek an enthusiastic colleague with skills to explore applied
problems associated with the interactions of human and biophysical
systems in exploring social and human dimensions of natural resources
management. The position will complement existing institutional
strengths at OSU in conservation problem solving and applied natural
resource analysis. As a department, we recognize that current and future
environmental challenges will require novel perspectives, many of which
are found in the variety of the world’s cultures. Therefore, we desire a
colleague who can help us face our environmental challenges by
respectfully drawing upon the lessons, experiences, and perspectives of
a wide range of communities and cultural variety of the world.
