Hi Adam Eichenwald, DIVA-GIS http://www.diva-gis.org/gdata has a land cover data available for Kenya, but the resolution looks poor and I can't seem to find information regarding what land cover type is associated with which values. Even better, if you go on earthexplorer.usgs.gov, select your area of interest for the Search Criteria, and then check GLCC <http://edc2.usgs.gov/glcc/glcc.php> under Land Cover for the Datasets,it looks like there is a dataset from 1992 available.
