The 2016 Guild of Rocky Mtn Ecologists and Evolutionary Biology meetings
will be in Gothic, CO Sept. 16-18. They are being hosted by Dr. David
Inouye (Univ. of Maryland, former President of the Ecological Society of
America) and Dr. James Thomson (Univ. of Toronto, former President of
the American Society of Naturalists). As with previous years, there
will be an opening talk Friday evening, with a full day of talks on
Saturday, finishing at noon on Sunday. For those that would like to
come early, we are offering hikes and tours on Friday. Registration
will open on May 1. In the meantime, you can get more information at
http://www.rmbl.org/greebs-2016/.
While these have been regional meetings, ecologists and evolutionary
biologists from around the world are welcome if you happen to be in the
area and/or have interest in seeing RMBL.
We opened a new Community Center that seats 200 lecture style and
approximately 150 for meals. In 2015 we hosted meetings for the
Organization of Biological Field Stations, IDigBio, Trust for Public
Lands, and the Global Network of Mtn Observing Systems. If you are
interested in hosting at meeting in Gothic, contact me. Information is
