If your specialty is in botany, primatology, ornithology, herpetology,
entomology, or another related discipline, and you dream of returning to
the field each year, we would like to invite you to apply to teach a
field course at one of our locations in Peru or India.

This is an opportunity to reach a global pool of students, to design a
course that highlights your interests and experience, and to make a
meaningful contribution to conservation education. FPI will assist with
course promotion, logistics, planning, and administering student
enrollment. In addition, a local fixer will be provided to help with
airport pickups and other transportation to the field site. All you will
do is do what you love best - teach!

Field Projects International is a non-profit research and education
organization seeking to create quality educational programs related to
field biology and tropical ecology. We prioritize hands-on training over
classroom lectures, and encourage our instructors to create syllabuses
that take full advantage of our extraordinary field sites in order to
develop activities that focus on research methods and not theory alone.

We will consider instructors with varying levels of academic
qualification, and we do not impose any citizenship restrictions. We
have particular interest in those who have expertise in field research
methodologies, as well as those with experience teaching and/or working
in the tropics. Instructors with advanced degrees will receive higher
compensation, and in order to teach a course for credit instructors must
have a Ph.D. or be a doctoral candidate.
