Possess knowledge of federal and state statutory authorities and rules contributing to the protection of listed plant species. 2. *Must Possess the Abilities to:* - Utilize current relevant research and scientific literature to develop written functional and operational management plans for Plant Conservation Program Reserves. - Collect and analyze plant species preserve data, including taxonomic identification, population status, and habitat conditions for protected plant species. - Demonstrated ability to incorporate the use of Geographic Information System (GIS) software to capture and manage preserve data and to generate appropriate maps. - Instruct and train other Plant Conservation staff, contractors and volunteers with implementing complex preserve management activities. - Assist with preserve management activities including the removal/eradication of invasive species, preparation for prescribed burns and assistance with conducting prescribed burns. *Management Prefers:* Coursework and practical field experience in Plant Ecology and Forestry. Minimum Education and Experience Requirements: Bachelor's degree in a discipline related to the area of assignment; or equivalent combination of training and experience.
