The Department of Biological Sciences invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position. Required qualifications include a PhD in the biological sciences, with an emphasis in an applied field of microbiology, such as (but not limited to) food microbiology, industrial microbiology, bioremediation, or microbial ecology; recent evidence of scholarly activity as evidenced by peer reviewed publications and presentations; and post-doctoral or other professional experience in applied microbiology. Duties include teaching undergraduate and graduate courses, developing a research program that involves both undergraduate and graduate students, and serving on departmental committees. Priority consideration will be given to applications received by November 23, 2016. Position begins on August 14, 2017.
